The Kansas Department for Children and Families’ (DCF) mission is to protect children, strengthen families, and promote adult self-sufficiency.
DCF’s more than 35 service centers and hundreds of employees work in nine different program areas to better serve Kansans. These programs are: Economic and Employment Services, Prevention and Protection Services, Rehabilitation Services, Child Support Services, Foster Care Licensing, the Family Crisis Response Helpline, Office of the General Counsel, Operations, and Organizational Health and Development.
DCF programs and employees work in partnership with one another, organizations, communities, and outside agencies to support families, children, and adults, connecting them with resources, supports, and networks in their home communities.
