Older Adults and People with Disabilities

Here at DCF we believe that all Kansans deserve to live safely and thrive in life, and we provide many services to help keep adults in Kansas safe and help them become self-sufficient.

Our Adult Protective Services program investigates and ensures the safety of adults in Kansas and protects them from abuse, neglect, fraud and exploitation. Similarly to how we protect children, Adult Protective Services works with each unique individual and situation to find the best resources and safest environment for these adults.

We also offer comprehensive services to help Kansans with disabilities find employment and resources to live an independent life. Services include Disability Determination Services, Vocational Rehabilitation, Deaf and Hard of Hearing as well as connections to Centers for Independent Living. All of these services work together to help Kansans with disabilities thrive independently.
