Economic & Employment Services SNAP Employment and Training

SNAP Employment & Training Support Services are available statewide to:
  • Food Assistance recipients aged 18-59
  • Do not have dependents on the Food Assistance Case
  • AND are not working 30 hours or more per week.

Mandatory participation of 30 hours per week in approved SNAP Employment & Training program activities is required for these individuals to continue receiving Food Assistance.

Services and supports available include:
  • Assistance with preparing and searching for jobs
  • Help getting further education to include High School Diploma, GED, career or technical education
  • Assistance with career or technical education programs
  • Transitional services for 90 days after new employment begins
  • Help getting dentures, eyeglasses, hearing aids
  • Transportation funds for education or employment​
